Greetings, dear blogworms,

I’d thought I’d write an entry with a few quotes, because I like quotes. I used to love making up quotes and I used to pester my friends for quotes made by them. Then I will also tell what the text on the top layout says because it’s a bit hard to read. As you can see, it is a poem and a quote. The text on the left is a beautiful poem written by Fannie Montgomery and the text on the right is a quote by Albert Camus. Both are about autumn…GoldenWaltz decided the theme of the layout should be autumn.  (Oh, and by saying the text is hard to read…I really don’t mean to offend it, it’s very pretty.)  I really like it and I’m happy she made one, as I don’t know how to.

In Autumn, by Fannie Montgomery

They’re coming down in showers,
The leaves all gold and red;
They’re covering the little flowers,
And tucking them in bed.

They’ve spread a fairy carpet
All up and down the street;
And when we skip along to school,
They rustle ‘neath our feet.

[I would just like to mention right now that I am quite the fancy chick. Seriously, whenever I walk into the room, everybody says "hey, it's PinguidPlatyPunk or-whatever-my-username-is...the fancy chick!" Obviously at that point I have to do a dance which is comprised of somewhere between disco and hoedown flavours, and then I leave to tend to my pet man. Yeah. Sweet, I know.] (My sister typed that, because she asked me, “are you going to be a fancy chick and italicize that text?” while watching me type the entry. No, GoldenWaltz is a friend of mine, not a sister. But anyhoo, mah sister typed that. For your entertainment, I’m leaving it there, same with anything that she types. How do you know she typed it? I put it in brackets, not parentheses. And my sister and I burst out laughing.)

Anyhoo, about the poem. It’s very pretty, isn’t it? I think it’s jolly. My favourite lines are “They’ve spread a fairy carpet/All up and down the street…” and same with mah sister. Well, now we be moving on to that Albert Camus quote. I wuv quotes.

“Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower.”

-Albert Camus

I wuv that quote too. [But what I really love is...JINGLY WARTHOG DAY. Hoo-wee, there's never a day that is not good for jingly warthogs. Big ones, small ones, ones that you can stick in your ear and forget aaaall about (and by the way, a week or so ago I had a dream that I was in a theatre and this guy sitting beside me kept shoving his obese baby into my ear to get me to play with it) and...and...I lost my train of thought. The important thing is that there are a lot of nose berries in the world, sonny boy, and you JUST HAVE TO GET USED TO IT.] Anyhooo…it would be very confusing if Autumn was called spring as well. That’s all I want to say about this.

[PinguidPlatyPunk or whoever is laughing so hard she can barely finish the blog, so I bid you good pie and...ooh! Buy N Large, your superstore, all you need and so much more! Happiness is what we sell, that's why everyone loves BNL!] Okay, I’m done laughing and no good pies just yet. [Oops.] And that “Buy N Large” thing…we’re listening to the WALL-E soundtrack on the computer [HEART! HEARTHEARTHEART!] and that little jingle just played.

Because I’m feeling a bit lazy right now and I’m falling asleep, I’m just going to list a bunch of quotes with no comments. You ponder them yourself, okay? First, a haiku about bananas that I’m just going to make up.

My tongue is hungry

For a yellow banana.

I want to hug it.

[I made one up too! Here it is:

Yellow delicious
It oozes potassium
'Tis a banana

I hope you enjoyed, and I hope my sister forgives me for taking over her bloggo once more.]

I forgive mah sister.

Time for Quotes!

“All the world’s a stage…” -William Shakespeare

“If music be the food of love, play on…” -William Shakespeare

“The greatest thing you’ll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return.” -eden ahbez

“To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong.” -Joseph Chilton Pearce

“I have not failed. I’ve just found 10 000 ways that won’t work.” -Thomas A. Edison [attributed]

Last, but certainly not least, The Quote of the Day (the month, year, or whatever period of time it is)…

“Ghoo, you kind of jiggled against my lung!” -My sister

For the Quote of the day, well…I’m sitting on my sister’s lap and I got excited and I did this little wiggle thing.

Erhm, well, blogworms…the end.  This may be a useless post, But I thought I’d give you something to ponder, something to think about.

Well, this is my first post on the blog. Happiness, eh? At first I was planning to write some in-depth article about the existence of mankind or something similar, but then, I changed my mind. After all, no one likes in-depth articles, but everyone likes avatars, no?

And luckily for you, I also like making the avatars in question. Here are some I just created;

You get these goodies for now. I’ll edit and add some more later.

Maybe someday, I’ll release a “(Non-Anime) Avatar Fest”; wouldn’t that be brave and daring?

Salutations, dear blogworms,

As you know this is PinguidJollyPlatypig typing the first post of Effervescent Butterknife, the joint blog she has created with her dear friend, GoldenWaltz (on TamaTalk, we are known as Ichigotchi_Piggy and HappinessisGolden, respectively) . In this joint blog we will tell of our sweet and bitter adventures of life. We hope you enjoy reading the blog.

I bet some of you are wondering why exactly we named this blog “Effervescent Butterknife” and our address name “butterscent”. GoldenWaltz had just come up with the wonderful idea of the blog and we chose wordpress. We pondered the name of the blog for quite some time, when I came up with the idea of a portmanteau of two things we both like, and she wanted to come up with two of our favourite words and combine them together. She wanted the word “butterknife” and I wanted the word “effervescent”. We thought that “effervescent-butterknife” was too long to put in the address URL, so we signed the blog up as “butterscent”.

GoldenWaltz and I both are very artistic people. We enjoy drawing and write poetry immensely and every once in a while we may use this blog as an outlet for our creativity. We hope you enjoy.

Oh, by the way, sometimes we’ll use some bitterfoul language so if you wouldn’t appreciate that, then, well, it would be best if you didn’t spend your time reading it.

Anyhoo, I believe that’s all we have to say. Enjoy the future happiness of this blog!

We’re out there to prove that effervescent knives really exist!
